Traveling out of Glasgow to London Euston on Virgin? if you’ve booked in advance you’ll probably end in in coach A at the back of the coach, alongside everybody else who’ve down likewise. Coach A only has one exit/entrance and is fairly dark. Queues build and there is a large amount of luggage. Save yourself stress by going to coach F where there are no reservations and two exit/entrance points. You have the pick of the seats all the way to London – enjoy your journey!
Note – I usually travel by the far superior east coast route via Edinburgh, even though it takes longer. There are around only three trains direct from Glasgow Central to London via the East coast, run by Virgin East Coast. The carriages are larger and brighter and one has the added experience of the East Coast line with views of the North Sea. One could also travel to Edinburgh (either from Queen Street -fast route via Falkirk or slower route via Airdrie, or the routes from Glasgow Central via Shotts or Carstairs) then jump on the many Virgin East Coast trains to London.
